Call for abstracts/ scientific presentations
You are welcome to submit scientific abstracts to be considered for presentation at the ongress. Submission of an abstract intended for presentation will imply that the authors have neither published the information elsewhere nor presented the information at a national or international meeting prior to this meeting. Deadline for the submission of Abstracts is May 15, 2008.
Abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. Once an abstract is accepted, the Committee will decide whether it is to be presented as an oral communication or as a Poster. Notification of acceptance of abstracts will be made by May 15, 2008. Those attendees who have not made the payment of their registration fee by this date will be asked to do it before April 21, otherwise their presentations are not included into the scientific program, nor their abstracts & into the Congress Proceedings Book.

Abstract text must be in Times New Roman font, 12 point size, single space and justified..It should not exceed 400 words (tables included) and structurized as follows: Objective: An introductory statement concisely indicating the purpose of the study.
Design & Method: Brief description of the study and the methods used, including statistical evaluation.
Results: A summary confirming or refuting the hypothesis, supported by statistics, if appropriate.
Conclusion: Based on the results as they appear in the abstract. Abstracts stating that results will be presented or discussed are considered uninformative and may be subject to rejection.
Key words: Up to three key words that summarize the contents of the abstracts can be entered and will be used for indexing the Abstract Book.
Guidelines for abstracts submission
Abstracts received after the deadline (May 15, 2008) or not meeting the guidelines will not be considered. For an accepted oral or poster abstract, one of the abstract authors must make the presentation and must be registered to the Congress. Each registered participant may submit a maximum of three (3) abstracts.

Along with each submission, but in a separate attachment, the presenting author must include his/her affiliation/position, address, telephone and fax numbers, and an e-mail address.
All abstracts must be submitted in English in a structured format which includes the following (see also the abstract sample):
Title: Use a concise title that indicates the content of the abstract.
Authors: Surnames and initials for every author must be provided. Do not include degrees or titles. The name of the presenting author should be underlined. An author’s name appearing on more than one abstract must be identical in each case.
Affiliations: Each author should be listed by institution, city, state/province and country. The affiliations should be typed under the list of authors' names. Do not include department, division, laboratory, etc. In abstracts where the authors have different affiliations, please indicate for each author the number of the corresponding affiliation.
Text: It should not exceed 400 words. Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted and will not be edited in any way. Abbreviations should be kept to a minimum. Use of standard abbreviations is acceptable. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full term for the first time it appears. Linguistic accuracy is the responsibility of the authors. Drug products mentioned in the abstract should be identified by their non-proprietary names only. Do not capitalize non-proprietary names. The text should include the headings: Objective, Design & Method, Results, Conclusion, Key words (see the sample for details).
Publication
Please note that all accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of the Congress Proceedings.
Please avoid problems by checking your abstract carefully before sending it. No modifications can be made after submission.
Authors who wish to withdraw their abstract should send a written request to ecri08@rambler.ru.
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to choose the allocation in the sessions in order to achieve a well balanced scientific program.
Oral Presentation:
Each presentation, to be given by the author, should last no more than 15 minutes and will be followed by a 5-minute discussion. Authors will be informed of the day and time of each oral presentation in the letter of acceptance of their abstract and after the receipt of the registration fee by the Congress organizers. The presentation should be in Power Point. Please prepare a CD or USB memory stick with your presentation which should be submitted not later than 2 hours before your presentation.
Poster Presentation:
Posters will be displayed in the exhibition area.
Posters should be in size DIN A0 portrait (DIN A0 = 841 mm x 1189 mm).
Fixing materials will be provided.
The authors will be notified of the day and time of the poster session, when one of the authors must be available to answer questions from the scientific committee and attendees.
